Amy Bowen: The importance of making an informed choice about multiple sclerosis treatment

Having access to relevant information is pivotal to making informed decisions about treatment and the future.

“What's most important is people have as much information as they need in order to make the decisions that are right for them. So if you think about choosing a disease-modifying treatment, for example, there are lot of different options and there are a lot of factors to take into account, about efficacy, about side effects, about risk, safety, the different ways that the drugs are taken, how frequently they're taken – all those life choices that are associated with thinking about your different treatment options. It's absolutely pivotal that people have access to all that information in a format that they can really use and then are able to have a conversation with somebody about how it applies in their own circumstances.”
