Øivind Torkildsen: The outlook for people with MS has improved

Professor Øivind Torkildsen describes the progress that has been made in the treatment of multiple sclerosis.

"The disease today is not the same as the disease was earlier. We are now able to control the disease in many instances if we start early on with potent treatment. It’s important to diagnose early, to give patients proper treatment and to monitor closely for treatment failure so that we can change to more potent drugs if necessary."
